Rob Neary - Songwriter, composer
Liverpool born guitarist and composer Rob Neary started Piano at the age of 11yrs and then Classical Spanish guitar at the age of 16yrs.
A big Eric Clapton fan, his father bought him his first electric guitar at 18yrs old. Robert taught himself how to master the electric guitar and was heavily influenced by players such as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Steve Stevens and Yngwie Malmsteen and anyone he could listen too.
He played in various bands during college and worked with the bass player from ASIA and also the guitarist from "The Little Angels" Robert recorded his first solo album in 2002 "Evolution" at home and moved onto record 3 more albums.
He had to decide which direction to go and his love of movies and passion for guitar mixed when he contracted to some tracks to "Rip Curl" as well as a track to launch a cable TV channel in 2004.
Robert decided to focus his talents on composing music for TV, FILM and media. His first break into movies came in 2007 with the release of 2008 motion picture "Thunder Over Reno" (Director Mitch Carley) were he worked with the music supervisor Mark Slaughter (from the 90's Band "Slaughter") who used one of Rob's tracks "Now Way Out" which can be heard when the yellow plane flies over the red sports car (see below).
During this time, Rob's wrote more tracks and drew more high profile clients including, CBS Adidas Unilever KPMG Reuters Boeing BAE Systems Grants (Glen Fiddich) Alton Towers (Theme Park) HBO Smashing Toys (PC Game) Defy Motion Pictures Rip Curl.
Roberts big break came during the summer of 2008 when one of his tracks "Aloha Oe" was included in the soundtrack to the Golden Globe winner and twice Oscar/ Academy Award nominated film "The Wrestler" starring Mickey Rourke (Best actor) and Marissa Tomei (best support actress).

So far, 2009 has been a great year for Robert as he was commissioned to write the track "Our Journey" for the soundtrack to the documentary movie "The Rivals" for the Smithsonian Network. (2010 Release) Robert continues to write and compose new music as his fan base and new clients increase.
